Monthly Seminar

Meeting live, online monthly.
Asynchronous participation is welcomed.

Reserved for graduates of Reclamation Ground, this monthly online gathering is an opportunity to explore the teachings with one another in a down-to-earth way. Relative to the highly structured format of its prerequisite course, the seminar is easygoing, interactive, and spacious. On-the-spot teachings are provided in response to whatever arises within the group. As a result of sharing our reflections and questions with one another, an unmistakable ‘mini-circle’ vibe has developed. If you’d like to get a sense of your fit for a circle, then this is the best opportunity to do so.

  • Seminar is appropriate for women of all ages, colors, backgrounds, disciplines, gender identities, and expressions.

  • Seminar is reserved for those who have completed the Annual Course (whether live or asynchronous). This ensures a common language and foundation-level knowledge among participants in group gatherings. It also elevates the teachings in those gatherings.

  • This event is suitable to any level of mastery –from the beginner to the seasoned ACT therapist. Everyone is welcome. Advanced practitioners are encouraged to ask any questions that may arise — it can only bring greater depth and vitality to our conversation.

Participation

Second Mondays, 4:30-6 p.m. PT.
Not available on Mondays?
Video recordings are provided.

Our 90-minute meeting starts with the introduction of a topic — typically, Kelly reading a book excerpt. From there, our time together is entirely extemporaneous and based upon whatever arises within the group (e.g., question & answer, one-on-one coaching, role play, small group discussion).

  • Enrollment is biannual. We meet on the second Monday of each month for five consecutive months (Oct-Feb, Apr-Aug) skipping March and September. You can enter, participate, and exit if it’s not a long-term fit for you.

  • Live, online meetings take place on the second Monday per month (from 4:30-6 p.m. PT). In order to protect the sanctity of our meetings, please join live only if you can: 1) offer your undivided attention to all those present, including yourself; 2) maintain a distraction-free environment; and 3) protect one another's privacy. If you cannot uphold all three agreements on any given Monday, then opt to watch the video recording of that meeting.

  • Professional-quality video recordings are provided within 7 days of each meeting (not grainy Zoom recordings).

Seminar Agreements

Agreements are necessary to create the holding space for this work. Before registering, please review the following. They apply to live participation as well as self-study.

  • Each participant is entitled to confidentiality. This is a shared responsibility. By registering, you agree to protect the identities of everyone in this seminar. Do not disclose any information about participants to outsiders. This includes their identities as well as anything they might have shared at any time within the seminar.

  • Each participant is entitled to privacy. This is a shared responsibility. By registering, you agree to participate in a secure location — with complete privacy. Do not record any portion of the meetings yourself — whether participating live or asynchronously.

  • Video recordings of our meetings are provided to all registrants. During the live meeting, participants can view one another in gallery mode. Participants who speak in the main meeting will have their voices and names (but not their faces) captured on the recording.

  • There is no way to prevent potential conflict of interest when gathering a group. If you arrive in the meeting room, and discover a conflict of interest with another participant, then please take care of yourself by exiting the meeting. Let us know the situation immediately by emailing us (office@kellyminor.com). We will schedule a time for you to speak with Kelly so that you might consider alternatives.

  • Our purpose in this seminar is to support one another in personal growth. Please do not violate the sanctity of this space by appropriating or commodifying the material. Feel free to teach what you have discovered for yourself as a result of our work together. Do not, however, redistribute the specific material without Kelly’s permission.

Clarissa Pinkola Estés on Valued Action:

“Ours is not the task of fixing the entire world all at once, but of stretching out to mend the part of the world that is within our reach. One of the most calming and powerful actions you can do to intervene in a stormy world is to stand up and show your soul. Soul on deck shines like gold in dark times. The light of the soul throws sparks, can send up flares, builds signal fires.”
