Half Day Visit

By invitation only.
Four hours together at Pastime Farm.

Sometimes, it’s helpful to meet with one another for an extended period of time. This offering is meant to be the equivalent of three Individual Sessions — within a four hour window. The vibe is spacious, relaxed, and informal. We might start with a cup of tea — and see where the conversation takes us. Perhaps to an impromptu meditation in the orchard. Or relaxing in the Adirondack chairs by the fire ring. In any case, be sure to wear layered, comfortable clothing. And be certain to arrive fragrance-free.

  • Our small hobby farm has a relaxed, down-to-earth, and harmonious vibe. By day, you can expect to be greeted by two cats, a dozen hummingbirds, and our friendly flock of chickens.

  • We will meet at my home. The address will be provided upon confirmation of your registration. Until then, aim your travel plans toward Sunol, California.

  • Arrive at/after 10:00 a.m. // Depart at 2p.m.

  • Accessing the house requires walking over relatively flat ground covered by bark mulch, as well as climbing stairs. The property offers many places to rest, including picnic tables, benches, and Adirondack chairs. Accessing these areas requires walking over uneven terrain, climbing stone steps, and remaining alert for holes created by our chickens. Please reach out with any questions.

  • Tea and coffee will be available throughout the day. If you’d like to hike, then bring a water bottle. Feel free to bring something to nibble on — if you require snacking. Let Kelly know if you have any food allergies and/or sensitivities.

Want to make a visit?
Reach out to Kelly with your availability and preferences. Please be sure to consider Bay Area commute times (e.g., schedule a visit from 10 a.m. - 2 p.m. to avoid traffic).

  • Kelly is severely allergic to synthetic fragrance and, if exposed, will immediately experience anaphylaxis. Before requesting a visit, determine the amount of effort required for you to arrive and stay fragrance-free by checking the ingredients in your hair, body, and laundry products. (If the word “fragrance” or “parfum” is listed in their ingredients, then it will be a problem.) By registering, you are agreeing to forego fragrance entirely, not bring residue on your belongings, and not bring any items containing “fragrance” or “parfum” onto the property.

  • A $100 fee reduction is available to qualifying school teachers, active/inactive military, mental health workers (e.g., social workers, psychiatric aides and technicians), and mental health trainees (e.g., clinical interns, medical residents, postdoctoral fellows) if they would not otherwise be able to afford this event. If this applies to you, then please let me know.

  • The day has been reserved for you and, therefore, is nonrefundable. Registration will not be pro-rated based on choice to exit early (including if you arrive with fragrance and are asked to leave).

Gunilla Norris on Understanding:

“Understanding. How much we long to be understood. Fundamentally this is not about being in agreement though that seems to make things appear easier. But understanding is much deeper than that. It is a profound spaciousness that grants another person the chance to be known from their own perspective and revealed in their history, their joys, their sorrows, their struggles and strengths. When we really understand one another that way it is like making a beautiful ring of support. The jewel of the self is given a setting in which to be held and seen. It is one of the dearest parts of friendship. When we embrace the sanctity in each other we have a foundation on which much can be built.”
