Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT)

ACT (spoken as the verb 'act') provides the foundation for all of my work. I aim to help you start living a more passionate and purposeful life, despite the difficult emotions that might sometimes appear to stand in your way.  My clinical training at Stanford University was 100% focused on using ACT with women for the treatment of depression, anxiety, post-traumatic stress disorder, and other health issues (e.g., diabetes).

Supervised Clinical Training in ACT (Stanford University):
  • Psychology Internship (VA Palo Alto, CA)
  • Postdoctoral Fellowship (Stanford University)

ACT Workshops & Conferences:
  • ACT Experiential Workshops, 2006, 2007 (Palo Alto, CA)
  • ACBS World Conferences, 2007, 2008, 2009, 2010 (panelist)
  • ACT SRI Pre-Conference Workshops, 2008, 2010
